Bartender Job Description

Summary

The Bartender is responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests, taking their drink orders

Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits

Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning equipment

Ensure that all drinks are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation

Upsell and recommend drinks to guests, based on their preferences

Handle cash transactions and provide accurate change

Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times

Follow all safety and sanitation regulations

Assist with other tasks as needed, such as setting up for events or cleaning the dining room

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a bartender in a restaurant or bar setting

Excellent customer service skills

Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages

Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work well as part of a team

Valid driver's license (may be required)

Additional Information

This position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays

The Bartender may be required to lift heavy objects

The Bartender must be able to stand for long periods of time

The Bartender must be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
