Share of orders that tipped, daily through October 13, 2026, from 711 restaurants and 8,791 orders on that day. The scale covers the range of the data, not zero; days with too little data to publish, and days where the incidence was not computed, are left out.

Where else to look: Online order channel and Ordered ahead are on Online order ticket; Online orders by hour and Online orders by weekday are on Online orders per restaurant.

Where it publishes

A reading publishes for a place only on a day that clears 30 restaurants and 500 tipped orders there. A row that reads “not enough data” is a place that did not clear it on this day — never a zero, never an estimate.

By metro

No metro has ever published Online tip rate. It needs 30 restaurants and 500 tipped orders in one place on one day, and no metro has reached that on any day this index covers. On October 13, 2026 the largest metro sample was Atlanta, GA, with 124 tipped orders from 116 restaurants. This reading publishes nationally and for 1 state; nothing is estimated for the places it does not.

By state

No state cleared the threshold for this reading on October 13, 2026 — the most recent state figure for it is from December 25, 2025. The national reading above is computed across every state at once.
